Too fast to be Blues, too dirty to be Swing, too Gypsy to be Rock’n‘Roll – here come Diving For Sunken Treasure. The drums kick in, acoustic guitars crash into double-bass and polyphonic choruses with high-speed. The soundtrack to a roadtrip on a desert highway, the smell of whisky and cigarettes, a forgotten feather boa in the dust, little moments that can make history.
The chorus: straight from the heart. The pace: straight in your face. The verse: full of desire. And because these guys from Berlin sound as if Django Reinhardt jammed with The Clash in Morricone’s pub somewhere in a parallel universe, because their music makes bad-ass punks grab their grandmas and swing along – that’s why Diving For Sunken Treasure will be OUR – and surely YOUR band soon too…
The four musicians of Diving For Sunken Treasure were wandering souls before they found a musical home in their very own passionate interpretations of Gipsy, Punk, Blues and Swing. They’ve been playing whatever they want to, wherever they want to, from boardwalks to barstools to big stages. With the charme of gipsy buskers and the rough attitude of a street gang they move the crowds from Pogo-Jive to Slam-Lindy and back.
Took the streets of Berlin by storm, conquered the clubs of Europe, enchanted the festivals all over: Diving For Sunken Treasure play, you dance.
To hits nobody knows. To classics never played before. To brandnew evergreens.
